Hale County Board of Education Superintendent Search Finalists are as follows:

Interviews of the three finalists will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the R. E. Ramey Educational Center beginning at 5:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF SUPERINTENDENT OPENING

 

POSITION TITLE:  SUPERINTENDENT-HALE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A.        Holds degree from a recognized four year college or university;

B.        Three years of successful educational experience as a teacher, principal, supervisor, superintendent, during the five years next preceding his/her appointment;

C.        Five years administrative experience, preferably a broad range of elementary and secondary experience;

D.        Demonstrated ability in group dynamics and in working with people who have varying backgrounds and interests;

E.         The ability to view all aspects of issues and deal fairly, when views differ from his/her own;

F.         Demonstrated knowledge of school finance;

G.        Demonstrated knowledge of educational research and methods of research;

H.        Ability to delegate authority;

I.          Holds an Alabama certificate of administration and supervision;

J.          Commands good character, high moral standing and integrity;

K.        Any other qualifications that the Board deems necessary and proper.

 

OTHER FACTORS WHICH MAY BE CONSIDERED:

            1.         Residency within Hale County.

            2.         Communication skills.

            3.         Demonstrated personal financial integrity.

 

CONTRACT PERIOD:       24-48 Months; Experience will be considered.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE:           July 1, 2018 unless sooner available.

 

SALARY:      Negotiable with a minimum base salary of $101,000.
