This program was developed by the Department of Industrial Engineering and the University Transportation Center for Alabama (UTCA) through a grant funded by the UTCA. The UTCA conducts education, research, and technology transfer activities related to transportation using faculty members and students from The University of Alabama (UA), The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH).
The UTCA, which is located on the University of Alabama Campus in Tuscaloosa is a University Transportation Center of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
