About Us

The mission of the Hale County School System is to provide opportunities for all students to succeed in a globally diverse society.  

All students will participate in  rigorous academic, technological, and workforce skills in order to access and express information, thoughts and ideas.  

All schools will maintain a safe, engaging environment where responsibility is expected and initiative is encouraged from all stakeholders.  

The vision of the Hale County Board of Education is to ensure that all students reach their full academic and social potential to be successful in a globally, diverse society.

DUAL ENROLLMENT

 

Dual Enrollment shall be offered in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the ALSDE, with the following local restrictions by the Hale County Board of Education:

Beginning Summer 2026, students eligible for dual enrollment classes will be 10th, 11th and 12th grade students.  Students must have a 2.5 GPA (unless the College allows a different GPA) and must have the approval of the local school administrator

 

Students may begin taking dual enrollment classes after successful completion of 9th grade.  Students may take no more than 2 dual enrollment classes per semester unless there is prior written approval by the Principal.  

 

Credit for dual enrollment will be as follows:  1.0 shall be added every successfully completed "core" class.  .5 shall be awarded  for the successful completion of every non-core class (elective).  If there is a confusion about whether a class shall be treated as a core or elective, that decision must be made by Administration prior to enrollment.
