Child Find

Every child is entitled to a free and appropriate public education, regardless of disability. The Hale County School System strives to identify, locate, and evaluate all children who require special education or related services ages birth to twenty-one and who reside within the jurisdiction of the public education agency. Child Find also applies to children who attend private schools, including children who attend religious schools. Child Find activities are continuous and ongoing throughout the year. If you know of a child who may be in need of special education services, please contact your local school or the Department of Student Support Services located at the R.E. Ramey Educational Center at 1115 Powers Street in Greensboro, Alabama.
